ATTENTION: IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO THE PUBLIC!
The DSA respects your privacy. Telephone and online scams are a constant threat. Our website and events are the only places you will hear from us about donating to the our Association. We will NEVER solicit donations by telephone or email, and as of 2020, we no longer solicit the public for donations via US Mail. If you are solicited for a donation on our behalf, DO NOT give the requester a donation. Please contact us immediately to report if someone is using our identity to collect money so we can investigate them. SCAM TEST: Concerned about being scammed? Avoiding scams is actually easy. If you think someone might be trying to scam you, just ask yourself this question. "Did someone contact me and ask me for my personal information, social security number, banking or other financial information, etc without me asking them for something first?" If the answer to this question is YES, then IT'S A SCAM! No legitimate person or business has any reason to ask you for this information unless you are the one who initiated contact with them for service. Be smart and be safe. When in doubt, ask for help from someone you trust or call your local law enforcement agency for assistance. HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM BEING SCAMMED There are many scams out there, but here are a few tips to prevent being scammed.
